Wonderful attention, comfortable facilities, good location :)

Good space in the restroom to put your stuff (toiletries, makeup, etc) and good natural light to get ready :) In other places that I stayed in Japan it was always very little space to put your stuff (I stayed here 4 nights so leaving everything ready makes you feel more comfortable and at home)

Nothing! All good, no public bath but they have recommendations in the front desk :)

Great accommodation in a lovely quiet location but only ten min walk from the main areas. Lovely toiletries, excellent bathroom and shower, all very modern Staff were so friendly and helpful

Exceptional

Perfect room, new, comfy beds, big bathroom. Not a lot of floor space, but you can push suitcases underneath the bed. Loved loved loved our stay here! Entire property also smells lovely. All in all, fantastic stay at a very reasonable price! Very worth it.

Maybe a little far to walk places and even public transport.

a wonderful and stress-free stay thanks to the incredibly kind and helpful staff

Id like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the gentleman at the reception. I'd forgotten my bag on the Shinkansen and didn’t have a phone line to make any calls. As soon as I arrived the hotel I explained the situation. He kindly listened to my story and then made several calls on my behalf to the relevant services. Thanks to his help, my bag was found and returned to me within two days. If it hadn’t been for his assistance, I would have lost some very important belongings, and my trip would have taken a much more unfortunate turn. I truly appreciate his kindness and support. thank you once again!

Best hotel on our vacation

The best hotel in our vacation. We booked Deluxe double room (only one in the hotel). Compared to standard room more expesive, but also very spacious (for Japan standards). Room was very cozy, clean, has window in the room (compared to standard room with window only in bathroom), big bathroom, separate beds with two sheets, daily trash pick up and very helpful staff who spoke english. Hotel is located in very quite and stylish area approx 10 min walk from Kyoto station, beautiful park, temple FamilyMarkt and very good restaurants nearby. As a cherry pick, there is manga library, free tea/coffee at the reception and fan shop across the street.

There is no breakfast, but local combini compemsated it. More expesive deluxe room (but extra space). For some tourist walk to station can be long

Comfortable bolthole near Kyoto Station

The hotel is located in a quiet , pleasant road near an amazing temple, the station and buses. The room was comfortable and the bathroom area a good size. Nice coffee in the hotel reception area. Helpful staff.

The room was a tad small and cluttered but we were expecting this from previous reviews.

A good stay that I will definitely come back again if I go back to Kyoto.

A cozy hotel located 10 minutes walk from Kyoto Station and along the way there is a majestic Hogashi Honganji temple and the view of Kyoto tower. There is also a subway nearby but we mostly travel from Kyoto station to take the train and bus. We took the 4 bedded room for a family of 3. The room and toilet space is really big, clean and comfortable. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. Free coffee, green tea and amenities at reception area. There is a water dispenser and microwave too. At a walking distance, there is a 24 hours laundry.

I have had a wonderful time here at hotel Bell. :)

The staff were friendly; they were also very responsive on Booking.com platform when I had a flight delay resulting in a late check-in - this helped me alleviate my anxiety greatly. Staff was also exceptionally welcoming, and helped me dispose of my luggage. Location wise was super convenient, just 9mins walk away from Don Quixote which makes it easy to do last minute runs should you require any medication/toiletries. The area had quaint bars as well, all around 400m.

This place would be perfect for long stay if there was coin laundry!

Great affordable place to stay at in Kyoto for 3 people

Modern hotel that could fit the 3 of us in one room! Quite close with 10 minutes walk from the station. Staff was very helpful eventhough we came late (past 9pm) and had been informative with guidelines on how to check-in etc. They have free coffee and water station. The beds are comfy and the toilet is modern

The room is small but it is expected with the cost

Wonderful

The staffs were really friendly and helpful. All of them welcomed, smiled and accommodated me very well - calling a cab for us, trying to talk in my native language, taking care me in heating food. The amenity was also good - free ice, comb and toothbrush are available. We got the room in first floor and we were so happy about it.

The location might not perfect much as i found the closest one, Gojo station, couldn't take me to anywhere. So i need to walk to kyoto station anyway.

The hotel is new and cozy, stuffs are friendly, I like the idea of taking the single use items as you need from the reception instead of offered by default in the room, as it is more eco friendly. had really nice time here

I don’t understand why there is a desk and a round table and two chairs in the already tight room, would be so nice to remove the round table and the chair so I will have more space to put my luggages and walk around

I’d totally come back

The location is pretty good and the value for the money is fair. Hard to find better location at the same price closer to the city. The room (as everywhere in the same range) is not big but clean and comfortable. There’s free water and free coffee as well

Amazing staff and clean and comfortable rooms!

Staff were absolutely phenomenal, so kind, pleasant and willing to accommodate. The room was clean and new bath towels were provided everyday. Was warm and pleasant, would definitely stay again! Close to Kyoto station (around a 10 min walk) so very easy to go to the bullet-train / travel around the city.

Was slightly pricy due to peak season.
